Getting Married? Please choose one of the 2 plans below to ensure your marriage is recognized by United States law as well as in accordance with Sharia (Islamic Law).
PLAN A:

Go to the OC Clerk-Recorder office to obtain marriage license (valid for 90 days)

Perform civil wedding ceremony and obtain marriage certificate (same day/place as license).

Then, schedule an appointment with Imaam at OCIF or at any other Masjid to perform Islamic marriage ceremony.
PLAN B:

Go to the OC Clerk-Recorder office to obtain marriage license and marriage certificate form.

Then, schedule an appointment with Imaam at OCIF or at any other Masjid to perform Islamic marriage ceremony & sign marriage certificate form.

Finally, submit the completed marriage certificate form to the OC Clerk-Recorder office.
To obtain marriage licenses, couples must appear in person at the Orange County Clerk-Recorder office location listed below with a valid photo ID (Driver’s License or Passport).
